ANYWAY. For New Years Eve I made these magical cookies (and not the kind that give you a "buzz", thank you very much.) I thought I would share them with you. Because why not!
First off all, any dessert that only takes five ingredients is the kind of dessert for me! This is made for poor people. That's not offensive because we are alllll in the same boat.
You will need:
1/2 box devil's food cake mix
1 egg
7 tbsp. butter
2 oz. cream cheese
2/3 cup powdered sugar
Combine cake mix, egg and SIX tablespoons of butter. Put spoonfuls onto a greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 for 8-10 minutes. **the cookies will not look done--but they are because I said so. Remove from oven and let cool.
Now to make the creamy filling that you will eat by the spoonful!
Soften 1 tablespoon of butter and 2 oz. cream cheese. Cream together with 2/3 cup powdered sugar.
Now is the hardest part. It's mentally challenging to frost and stack these cookies. Why? Because they are so warm and delicious that you will eat every single one of them and have to make another batch for your family.
Anyway. Just frost one side of a cookie and smack it onto the other--like you're making a sandwich. You can sprinkle some powdered sugar on top so people will think you're a mad genius.
Oh and FYI this is enough for about two-three people so double or triple the recipe for your needs.
